Elisabeth A. Maxwell
Elisabeth is a research assistant in the Brady Lab with a focus on field work and instrumentation. Elisabeth first joined the team back in 2018 after graduating from the University of Maine with M.S. degrees in Marine Biology and Marine Policy. During that time she worked on a variety of projects including the Land/Ocean Biogeochemical Observatory (LOBO) Buoys, Maine eDNA, water quality monitoring, and several scientific diving efforts, along with numerous other opportunities. She is an American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS) Scientific Diving Instructor and Divers Alert Network (DAN) Instructor.
Elisabeth took a brief break from late 2022 to early 2024 to serve as a Dive Officer at Moody Gardens Aquarium in Galveston, Texas. But she soon found herself wanting to be back in Maine, with a desire to contribute to the high quality research being conducted from the Darling Marine Center. She is excited to return to the area for professional opportunities, and to continue exploring the wonders of Maine (by land, and by sea) with her friends.
